This item is handmade in Seattle with US materials. The whole process from design, cutting, stitching, packing, and shipping occurs in our studio in Seattle, WA. This cover is made with Horween Chromexcel full grain leather that ages to a beautiful patina. Horween is one of the last standing tanneries in the country and still makes leather the old way right here in Chicago, IL. Full-grain leather is the outermost layer of cowhide that has all the characters and is not to be confused with “genuine leather” that mass production industry uses for bonded leather made out of residues- think wood vs. MDF.
